DXM plateau is a term used by people who say they abuse DXM. Sometimes these users describe the levels of high and combination of effects they experience in different “plateaus” ranging from mild distortions of color and sound to hallucinations, dissociative sensations, and loss of motor control. Users describe four plateaus, but it’s unclear that all users experience the same effects when abusing dextromethorphan.
