What are the effects of DXM?

The effects of DXM are what occur when a person reacts to using dextromethorphan. When taken according to directions, products containing DXM produce few side effects and have a long history of safety. When abused in high amounts, some of the effects can include dizziness, slurred speech, impaired physical coordination, nausea and vomiting, drowsiness, disorientation, mild distortions of colors and sound, hallucinations, dissociative sensations and loss of motor control.
