Does DXM give you a hangover?

Some people who abuse DXM have reported hangover effects, although they are different from the hangover effects of drinking. Socially, although both DXM abuse and alcohol abuse can induce nausea and vomiting, the negative reaction from those who witness puking from DXM abuse is much more extreme, because vomiting episodes are usually much more pronounced and less controllable when abusing DXM. Some users’ descriptions also include effects like lethargy, sleepiness, mild sensory dissociation, muscle rigidity, muscle tics (especially in the jaw and hands), dizziness, loss of balance, headache, photo-phobia (eye discomfort in bright light), and sharply diminished sense of taste.
